When I emerge gnome it won't proceed past the attempt to emerge java-sdk-docs-1.4.1 even if the docs are downloaded and saved in /usr/portage/distfiles/ . System is a new install(June 5th) of Gentoo 2004.1 with portage sync'ed last night. The problem is the md5 checksum. The file digest-java-sdk-docs-1.4.1 contains the line: MD5 afee895d516243034cb0521e06ba4b4b2e j2sdk-1_4_1-doc.zip 32765641 This needs to change to: MD5 105e236ee793b5d01be899527f36ca94 j2sdk-1_4_1-doc.zip 32765641 I'm downloading the zip file with lynx on the system that is attempting the emerge. Additionally, why is the emerge of gnome with the java and doc USE flags still using an old version of the jdk and docs? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. sync portage when installing gentoo 2. set USE flags as below 3. emerge gnome after downloading j2sdk-1_4_1-doc.zip Actual Results: emerge of gnome and java-sdk-docs-1.4.1 failed Expected Results: emerge of gnome and java-sdk-docs-1.4.1 working Gentoo Base System version 1.4.3.13 Portage 2.0.50-r5 (default-x86-2004.0, gcc-3.3.2, glibc-2.3.2-r9, 2.6.5-gentoo-r1) ================================================================= System uname: 2.6.5-gentoo-r1 i686 mobile AMD Athlon(tm) XP1800+ Autoconf: sys-devel/autoconf-2.58-r1 Automake: sys-devel/automake-1.8.3 ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="x86" AUTOCLEAN="yes" CFLAGS="-O2 -march=athlon-xp -fomit-frame-pointer" CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu" COMPILER="gcc3" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb /usr/kde/2/share/config /usr/kde/3/share/config /usr/share/config /var/qmail/control" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/gconf /etc/terminfo /etc/env.d" CXXFLAGS="-O2 -march=athlon-xp -fomit-frame-pointer" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" FEATURES="autoaddcvs ccache sandbox" GENTOO_MIRRORS="ftp:///ftp-stud.fht-esslingen.de/pub/Mirrors/gentoo/ http://128.213.5.34/gentoo/ ftp://mirrors.sec.informatik.tu-darmstadt.de/gentoo/ http://mirror.datapipe.net/gentoo" MAKEOPTS="-j2" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" PORTDIR_OVERLAY="" SYNC="rsync://rsync.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" USE="3dnow X acpi aim alsa apache2 apm arts avi berkdb cdr crypt cups dga divx4linux doc dvd dvdr encode esd ethereal evo flash foomaticdb gd gdbm gif gnome gphoto2 gpm gtk gtk2 gtkhtml icq imap imlib innodb jabber java joystick jpeg junit kde ldap libg++ libwww lirc mad maildir mikmod mmx motif mozilla mpeg mpi msn mysql nas ncurses nls nocd offensive oggvorbis opengl oscar oss pam pcmcia pda pdflib perl png ppds python qt quicktime readline samba sasl scanner sdl slang spell sse ssl svga tcpd theora tiff transcode truetype unicode usb vhosts videos wmf x86 xinerama xml2 xmms xosd xv yahoo zlib"
Yes, yes. A man makes _one_ tiny mistake for lack of proper caffeine, and he's pestered about it for the rest of his days;P
