Description Dave 2004-06-06 04:17:25 UTC
The network card in my fujitsu P5010 laptop is not recognised. It is picked up in knoppix. I have only one interface showing, eth0, but dhcpd complains that this is not a wired network card. The network card is a "REALTEK RTL8139 serials PCI Fast Ethernet NIC".

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Boot live cd
2. Try to bring up eth0
3. fail

Actual Results:
nothing

Expected Results:
Given me a dhcp address

Which LiveCD were you using? Can you try the one available at http://dev.gentoo.org/~wolf31o2/releng and let me know how it works out?
