Since a few hours the synchronization seems not to work anymore. This problem seems to ocure with many/all mirrors. Only /portage/metadata/timestamp.chk gets updated: Timestamp of tree: Fri, 28 Nov 2014 21:30:01 +0000 But for e.g. this last commits https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=529728 are not still available. Affected mirrors: Server Address : 81.91.253.252, 2a01:90:200:10::1a Server Address : 140.211.166.189, 2001:470:ea4a:1:225:90ff:fe02:16e5 Server Address : 176.28.50.119, 2a01:488:67:1000:b01c:3277:0:1 ... Reproducible: Always
Next emerge --sync attempt, but again no updates for the ebuilds. Again only 1 file was updated: /portage/metadata/timestamp.chk Timestamp of tree: Fri, 28 Nov 2014 22:00:01 +0000 Also http://packages.gentoo.org/ is no longer updated for some time.
Why cvs2rsync is not monitored via http://infra-status.gentoo.org/ ? This page shows everything green and fine. rsync mirrors and https://packages.gentoo.org/ updating was broken several times this year, often it was down for >=24 hours and infra team was unaware about the problem. May be it is time to add some script to crontab which will send mail to infra team when cvs and rsync are out of sync?
(Editing summary to try to catch more searches... I also confirm this issue :( )
Master tree generation is fixed. Leaving the bug open for others to find this until mirrors have caught up.
Community mirrors are up to date again.
