Created attachment 32781 [details] ldvd9to5-1.11.ebuild Hmm... sorry, it seems there was a problem with the DB. The ebuild somehow appeared in a new bug 53101. I have now resent the ebuild to this bug, so that the other one can get deleted.
If this bug is the real one then could you please reopen it? For great justice,
Oh, both bugs were closed. Reopening this one.
hi! it's a nice tool, but the locations provided by the installer are stupid. Furthermore, a precompiled binary lsdvd (x86 only) is installed and used. I do some work on the ebuild and provide a new one. Gimme 1 hour. Then media-video/lsdvd will be used and the locations are more Gentoo friendly.
ok, I need more than 1 hour. ;-)

ok, what have I done: 1. added dependency to media-video/lsdvd 2. convert UTF-8 to iso8859-1 (project is hardcoded in UTF-8) 3. patch ldvd9to5 and ldvd9to5.conf to use installed lsdvd 4. install perl-modules into $vendor_perl/ldvd9to5 5. patch ldvd9to5 to use $vendor_perl/ldvd9to5 the files 'lsdvd' and 'ldvd9to5.sh' are now obsolete and will not be installed anymore.
Great ! I'll have a look at this. Thanks.
opened new bug http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=78248 this one can probably be closed.
Actually, this one was here first, so bug 78248 should probably be closed as a duplicate of this one.

Created attachment 54231 [details] ldvd-1.9.3-r1.ebuild ldvd-1.9.3 seems to have a problem with buffer. emerge: there are no ebuilds to satisfy ">=sys-apps/buffer-1.19-r1". !!! Problem with ebuild media-video/ldvd-1.9.3 !!! Possibly a DEPEND/*DEPEND problem. buffer can now be found in sys-block/buffer (I guess this is it). Find attached ldvd-1.9.3-r1.ebuild with the changed dependency. Anyway, I find it a bit confusing now with ldvd9to5, ldvd and all the closed duplicate bugs. Maybe someone can merge all the bugs (especially the ebuilds) into ONE bug, as this may help finding things better/faster.
Created attachment 54673 [details] ldvd-1.9.4.ebuild ldvd-1.9.4.ebuild version bump, fixes "Can't use an undefined value as an ARRAY reference at /usr/bin/ldvd line 700." added missing dependency "dev-perl/gtk-perl"
Wow.. this bug is really long and confusing. Well.. ldvd is in portage :). Thanks for posting and using Gentoo!
