why are you unmerging automake? That is like unmerging gcc
This works in 2.0.51 already.
I wasn't unmerging automake, I was checking to see how many versions were installed as I saw an warning message during a package compile about the version of the headers (or something for automake) not matching.
Bug has been fixed and released in stable portages on or before 2.0.51-r2
