Description Jon Hood (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-06-05 09:53:20 UTC
I just got this email from one of the azureus developers with a problem we need to look into:

Hi,
I've been getting reports of problems with your Azureus package. While the
real plugins dir is /usr/portage/distfiles/azureus/plugins/, because it's
files are spread about, it's trying to load from /usr/lib/azureus/plugins/
which of course fails. Az looks for the plugins/ dir from where it is
being executed from. The normal 2100 linux packages extract all files to
the same 'azureus' subdir. Not sure how you want to deal with this, but
have the 'azureus' start script run from the proper dir should fix things.
There is also an issue with the plugins/ dir needing to be user-writeable,
for updates...but I'd like to address that problem in azureus itself if we
can.

Thanks,
aLoN

This should be fixed in 2.1.0.0-r1
