Now that's me.

I wrote a vpopmail ebuild. (ver 5.2.1)
lintool doesn't lie. there are no syntax errors.

sexybit vpopmail # lintool --show-details vpopmail-5.2.1.ebuild | grep errors
 Summary for all 1 ebuild(s) checked                             # errors/warns
Total number of ebuilds with errors                               : 0 (0%)

sexybit vpopmail # pwd
/usr/portage/net-mail/vpopmail

sexybit vpopmail # ls
vpopmail-5.2.1.ebuild

sexybit vpopmail # ebuild vpopmail-5.2.1.ebuild fetch
portage: aux_get(): (1) couldn't open cache entry for net-mail/vpopmail-5.2.1
(likely caused by syntax error or corruption in the net-mail/vpopmail-5.2.1 ebuild.)
portage.py: doebuild(): aux_get() error; aborting.

this was a case of pebcak (problem exists between chair and keyboard), not portage.
