Description smkbot 2014-11-22 22:04:07 UTC
When installing =net-nds/openldap-2.4.38-r2, Both /etc/openldap/slapd.conf and /etc/openldap/slapd.ldif are installed (so the user can choose to use either the config file or online configuration backends).

The default config file (/etc/openldap/slapd.conf) has correct arguments for pidfile and argsfile:

pidfile /var/run/openldap/slapd.pid
argsfile /var/run/openldap/slapd.args

However, the ldif version of the same file (/etc/openldap/slapd.ldif) has different (and incorrect) values for olcArgsFile and olcPidFile:

olcArgsFile: /var/lib/run/slapd.args
olcPidFile: /var/lib/run/slapd.pid

/etc/openldap/slapd.ldif should be updated with the following values:

olcPidFile /var/run/openldap/slapd.pid
olcArgsFile /var/run/openldap/slapd.args

Any update? This should be a pretty trivial fix.

Thanks!

+1

I hit this today, it's still an issue.
