Noticed this bug, an' with re-use being the topic, thought I'd lump some of this here ;-) The gentoo-apache herd are currently polishing up eclasses for apache 1.x only, apache 2.x only, and dual (1.x & 2.x), for mods that only work with 1.x, mods that only work with 2.x, and mods that can work with both. Things have changed somewhat ;-), mtindal has merged the 3 eclasses (apache1, apache2 & apache_dual) into one full & fruity eclass! Not much needs to be changed in the ebuilds, except for the inherit, which needs to be switched to just `apache'.
