I use gaim's sys-tray icon plugin in gnome. On the first run everything works fine but if I leave gaim on and logout of gnome and then login again the sys-tray icon becomes really thin. So thin that it's almost impossible to click on. I have to restart gaim to fix this. Fedora has a patch that fixes this problem.

Gaim devs say that this patch needs some TLC, as it does some things horribly. This is the reason that the patch hasn't been merged into their CVS. I'm going to hold off on this until it gets hashed out some more upstream.
I've added all of Warren's patches from his SRPM so this is done now.
