After updating to kernel 3.17.1 and net-misc/dahdi-2.10.0, my ISDN setup stopped working. I saw lots of read/write errors in the logs, and finally found this patch fixing exactly my problem: http://git.asterisk.org/gitweb/?p=dahdi/linux.git;a=commit;h=b9a8000bbd1b6120 This patch is part of the upstream bugfix release dahdi-2.10.0.1. I copied the existing file dahdi-2.10.0.ebuild to my portage overlay, renamed it to 2.10.0.1.ebuild, and it installed and runs perfectly until now. The read/write errors are gone, and my ISDN (pri / bri) phones work again :-) Please bump the version of net-misc/dahdi to 2.10.0.1 Thanks, and many regards, Florian Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install a kernel 3.16+ with dahdi-2.10.0 2. ISDN BRI interfaces with a hfc-s chipsets stop working 3. Bumping to not-yet-in-portage version net-misc/dahdi-2.10.0.1 fixes the problem
I have the same problem with a vanilla dahdi 2.9-r1 and 2.10.0. Asterisk enters an infinite loop consuming all system resources. It happens with kernel 3.16.5-gentoo. It does not happen with kernel 3.14.14-gentoo. Upstream fixed it with this: https://issues.asterisk.org/jira/browse/DAHLIN-340 I want back to 3.14.14-gentoo. Can we have dahdi-2.10.0.1 in portage? Thanks.
