Looking at the error, it seems to be a parallel make failure.
It also fails without any -j or -l options.

Are there any update. I also have the same problem with poppler-0.32.0. Build fails around ~98% but always on different steps. If I rerun the step manually it succeed.
OK, managed to solve the problem. It turned out the g-ir-scanner was linking to the old libpoppler library installed in the system wich apparently didn't have poppler_point_get_type defined. Removing /usr/lib/libpoppler* files solved it. Of course, it is only a workaround and the problem should be adressed in the package itself.

Thanks for your feedback, poppler is under stabilization =app-text/poppler-0.42.0, which makes this obsolete.
