Description Tanktalus 2014-11-03 18:45:25 UTC
https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/40693

This looks similar. Essentially, once we moved to perl 5.20, the perl plugin isn't getting built anymore. "equery f hexchat | grep perl" doesn't show anything.

It appears perl is being enabled as per the USE flags, but getting disabled later during detection.

I don't think any of this is relevant, but just in case:

Please attach the entire build log to this bug report.
Comment 3 Tanktalus 2014-11-04 18:20:10 UTC
The full build log doesn't have anything more that I can see than I showed above, except maybe the USE flags. I'm only doing the configure because the problem has already occurred at this point. When I went in and manually added the -fuse-ld=gold flags to CCFLAGS and LDFLAGS for this particular perl test, and then ran ebuild ... merge, it built the perl plugin fine, and I'm using it now.

config log as requested

Not sure if this is still needed since the upstream problem was found... but anyway, here it is.

So when is the fixed ebuild coming out?
