x11-themes/gnome-icon-theme is required for gnome-extra/cinnamon to launch or else it will fail with the following error:

(cinnamon): GLib-GIO-CRITICAL **: g_loadable_icon_load: assertion 'G_IS_LOADABLE_ICON (icon)' failed


Probably doesn't affect '+gnome' USE setups or those with 'desktop/gnome' profiles, but only guessing.
