What have you contributed to the Gentoo project in the past?  I only see one bug (besides this one) associated with your email address.  If you really want to help the project, submit patches for existing bug reports.  Once you've shown your technical abilities, then we can consider making you a developer.

The best way to get started with Gentoo development is to jump in on Bugzilla. Find bugs and submit fixes, get involved in discussions when you have helpful input, etc.
