Description Nilton Volpato 2004-06-01 07:10:24 UTC
There is a new pykde version PyKDE-3.11rc1 that works with _all kde versions_, and should be put in portage.

The current version supports only 3.0.0 <= kde_version <= 3.1.3.

The PyKDE home page is http://www.riverbankcomputing.co.uk/pykde/, and the new version is at http://www.river-bank.demon.co.uk/download/PyKDE2/PyKDE-3.11rc1.tar.gz.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:

PyKDE-3.11_rc1 ebuild

Here is an ebuild for PyKDE-3.11rc1. It's my first ebuild, so it may need some
changes. I mostly just edited the 3.7.4 ebuild to remove steps that did not
work for 3.11rc1. I was not sure whether set the requirements for sip and PyQT
to match my installed version, or what the home page says, but for sip it
recommends 3.10.1 or 4.0 later than rc3 so I chose to use sip-4.0rc4, any
feedback would be appreciated.

Just fixed this. Read Bug 33129, why I hesitated to add it. Unfortunately KDE 3.2.3 is late and you're keen on an ebuild.

@Rick: Regarding your ebuild please read http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/ebuild-mistakes.xml. It just takes time to fix things like invalid headers. The other documentation is worth reading it, too. repoman is useful! ;)
