do you have qtcore installed? Which USE are you suing for PyQt4? Which version of sip and PyQt4 are you using?

I tried to update sip: can't, without opening a huge can of worms. Current stable kde wants sip-4.15. So it's either waiting for an update of kde or back porting whatever changed in sip and/or veusz. From the error message it looks like it is "just" a question of missing a directory in the given paths. Don't know enough of ebuild to fix that though. 1.21.1 installs fine (just did it).
I just did an upgrade and now have sip-4.16.4, qtcore 4.8.5-r2 and PyQt4-4.11.1. Installing veusz-1.22 still fails at the same point.

Works with PyQt4-4.11.3
I'm re-investigating this because trying to install pyqwt (required by ROS) and this wants exactly PyQt4-4.11.1. Is a newer version of PyQt4 really needed? On the veusz mailing list someone commented that they have PyQt4-4.8.6 on their system with no problem. I don't have any more detail than that though. Cheers, Fred
