Description M. Grabowski 2014-10-22 07:54:47 UTC
As per bug 475894: Please stabilise the latest version of sys-apps/smartmontools – it contains a significant amount of new disks in the drivedb.h, also manually updating said file via the /usr/sbin/update-smart-drivedb script does not work any longer for smartmontools versions < 6.2, so the current stable version in the tree (6.1) is stuck with the old DB.

6.3 has been in the tree for more than two months without any bugs as far as I can see.
