Description Maurice Volaski 2004-05-31 14:36:54 UTC
The gentoo-user digest mailing list just stopped sending mail out on January 5. Repeated attempts to unsbubscribe and resubscribe from different computers using different email domains and different email software make no difference.

Presumably, only a handful of people have been affected besides the fact that I had no trouble reproducing it.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. subscribe to a gentoo mailing list. I tried both gentoo-user-digest and gentoo-amd64-digest
2. everything will appear to work initially. You will get a confirmation notice and upon replying, get a welcome notice.
Actual Results:
That's all. Mail from the list never shows up. If I try resubscribing, I will get an email saying that I am
subscribed, so clearly mail from the list program can get to me. It must something specific that
prevents only actual list mail from not going out.

Expected Results:
it should regularly send copies of the list contents to every subscribed email address.

This problem has been around since January 5th and I alerted the moderator by email the end of
Feburary, so this is a long-standing unresolved issue.
