quite right, this should've been masked, anyway
Comment 2 Seemant Kulleen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2002-07-20 09:53:58 UTC
masked in portage.

The problem rehappened to me again. I was installing cdcd-0.6.4, and it asked for libreadline 4.2 or higher. Here's the log:

checking for tputs in -lcurses... yes
checking for rl_completion_matches in -lreadline... no
configure: error: cannot find GNU libreadline 4.2 or higher

!!! ERROR: media-sound/cdcd-0.6.4 failed.

hmm I wonder how it got unmasked
Comment 5 Seemant Kulleen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-02-11 20:52:34 UTC
ok, the default-1.0 and default-1.0_rc6 profiles, so this shouldn't appear for you.

Sorry about that.

No problem, just wanting to help :)

Good work...

I did get around the problem changing cdcd-0.6.4 arch from x86 to ~x86
And yes, my /etc/make.profile points to /usr/portage/profiles/default-1.0
