Description Adam Feldman gentoo-dev 2014-10-13 16:06:09 UTC
The zram-init-3.0 script adds functionality for multiple streams and compression algorithms, however, these functions are not available in linux kernel versions prior to linux-3.15.

The previous ebuild should be reinstated for kernel versions before 3.15

Reproducible: Always

Old ebuild readded, worning added:

As far as I can see if you change default config for 3.0 version, it works also with older kernel versions. Am I right?

Yeah, as long as you don't define the new variables, it works without issue (as far as I can tell)
Comment 3 Jauhien Piatlicki (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2014-10-13 21:27:11 UTC
Ok, then warning is enough. Let's keep an old ebuild also for those who could need it. Btw, this https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Zram#Configuration uses only old variables.

I close this bug. Thanks for filing it. )
