Comment 2 Bob Johnson 2014-10-11 21:48:53 UTC
My apologies. I didn't catch that this was coming from the vmware overlay. I didn't realize I still had it enabled.
Comment 3 Evan Teran 2014-10-11 22:11:58 UTC
If you have a chance, try it again. I was trying to clean up some of the patches in the vmware overlay and got bit by a quirk where having vmware 9 installed makes the vmware-modules ebuild use the wrong sources :-(

I think that it should be corrected now.

Patch log for 279-3.10-00-userns.patch
Comment 6 Evan Teran 2014-10-12 02:12:42 UTC
Please remove any user patches you have already. The ebuild *should* be able to build cleanly :-)
Comment 7 Bob Johnson 2014-10-12 13:38:54 UTC
Oops again! I put the patches back when I reverted to the in-tree version, and forgot to remove them when I re-tested after your fixes. Yes, you're correct:
app-emulation/vmware-modules-279.2-r1 now builds just fine. I believe this bug can be closed. Thanks!

Excellent.
