I made some enhancements to the media-libs/libdvdread-0.9.4 ebuild:

- apply patches from http://dvdauthor.sourceforge.net/
  "libdvdread-0.9.4 patch which shows the mnemonics for the
   various VM commands in the IFO and VOB files, also includes
   a VOB dumper."

- USE-flag 'static' -> so one can disable .a creation

- install some executables also from src/ directory:
  disc_id, ifo_dump, play_title, title_info, vob_dump

all in all, *now* the ebuild is "full-featured" ;-)

perhaps it's time for *-r1.

i've modified your ebuild a little bit, mostly the src_unpack() function and commited it in a revision bump. thanks for the report.
