im workin on some ebuilds for this but ill post em later after 1.4 release

mknbi is in portage see #11955 for details with this tool you can tagg kernel images for etherboot (diskless workstation)

i took some files from a k12ltsp installation to make booting over the network much easier. with the ebuild install you can choose only one ROM image but with this 'hack' you can boot of any supported nic. just need the files in the tar-archive and a little change to your dhcpd.conf. http://mgoransson.com/GENTOO/LTSP/
