I think it's called "netscape"-flash because the plugin is intended for all browsers which use Netscape-style plugins, including Netscape proper, Mozilla, Firefox, Opera and perhaps others.
I don't think there is any real reason to change this at this point. Name changes for no real reason just put instability in the tree. Thanks for the suggestion though.

I you think twice, netscape-flash makes no sense (at least for me) but well, I prefer the philosophy of "if it works, leave it" i dont care a lot about names. > there is any real reason to change this at this point.
