Description Todor Zviskov 2004-05-28 23:14:22 UTC
After merging xine-lib-1_rc4-r1 video stream from v4l devices (bttv tuner) is missing in xawtv/motv, tvtime, transcode, etc. after running xine. Video comes back after restarting X until xine has being started (and closed) again. After downgrading to xine-lib-1_rc4 the issue is resolved.
Comment 1 Carlos Vendramini 2004-05-29 03:21:24 UTC
I confirm this behavior, I have the same issue. After upgrade xine doesn't find input plugins...
Comment 2 Todor Zviskov 2004-06-28 22:42:02 UTC
Problem still exists with with xine-lib-1_rc5 and xine-lib-1_rc5-r1... Also, the -mfpmath=sse flag breaks the build process; think that one should be filtered.
Comment 3 Chris White (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-07-27 20:31:38 UTC
Is it still in xine-lib-1_rc5-r2. -r1 was missing some important patches, so I
need to make sure it's still an issue in -r2.
Comment 4 Todor Zviskov 2004-07-27 21:29:30 UTC
Unfortunately issue still exists even in xine-lib-1_rc5-r2. In fact all versions > xine-lib-1_rc4 are broken so something must have broken it in xine-lib-1_rc4-r1. Here's emerge info if that could be of any help:

Bad bit of delay, I've gotten busy with school and work. Let me know if this
is still an issue in the latest -r6. It mainly has some security fixes, but
who knows. If not, I'll tear open the xine ebuild/talk to upstream about it
with the relevant information.
Comment 6 Todor Zviskov 2004-10-18 18:00:24 UTC
Yes!!! The issue is finally resolved in 1_rc6.
