An ebuild for the Eclipse 3.0 Milestone 9 release.  Installs the binary version.  I plan on trying to write one to install from source as well later.

1. Emerge using the ebuild.

Actual Results:  
Installs Eclipse M9 to /opt/eclipse

Expected Results:  
Install Eclipse M9 to /opt/eclipse

Actually, if you take a peek in dev-util/eclipse-sdk, you'll see that
eclipse-sdk-3.0.0_pre9 was recently added.

It's a from-source ebuild.

If you have the time to test it, I'd be really happy. There are still
numerous problems with it.

But we really appreciate your contribution, even if it has been pre-empted:)
