The 5 packages virtual/perl-Exporter-5.700.0 virtual/perl-ExtUtils-CBuilder-0.280.216 virtual/perl-File-Spec-3.470.0 virtual/perl-Module-CoreList-3.100.0 virtual/perl-version-0.990.800-r1 depend on dev-lang/perl-5.20.0* This unnecessarily blocks installation of dev-lang/perl-5.21 I suppose that the dependency is a typo and should be dev-lang/perl-5.20* as for all other related perl-5.20 packages. The following command shows that these are the only exceptions in the tree: eix --deps perl.5.20.0 -#
s/perl-5.21/perl-5.20.1/
Not a bug but a feature. These are exactly the virtuals that changed from 5.20.0 to 5.20.1. Will add the correct virtuals for Perl 5.20.1 tomorrow. (Your own fault if you blindly unmask everything... :P)
PS. I suggest reading changelogs. :P
New virtuals are in the tree. To quote the hitchhiker's guide: "We have normality. I repeat: we have normality. Anything you still can’t cope with is therefore your own problem."
(In reply to Andreas K. Hüttel from comment #3) > PS. I suggest reading changelogs. :P Since there was no version bump in the virtuals, I did not expect that they had recent changes, and so I haven't seen a reason to read their ChangeLog. Originally, I wanted to compare with corelist of perl-5.20.1 before filing this bug. Unfortunately, I was hit by bug 522896 simultaneously and thus couldn't do this easily. Hence, I decided to file both bugs. Sorry for the noise.
