When I try to build the samples from www.wxwidgets.org I get an failure from the configure script. It seems that the sample-subdirs aren't recognized.
Also the demos require a library which isn't build from emerge.

A installation of wxGTK on Suse 9.0 works fine - without problems.

Can you give us a little more info please? URL to the demos you can't compile, error messages, the library name you're missing.

I can't run the configure script on ALL samples shipped with wxWidgets.
I get the following failure: configure must run from the top level directory.

With a manually installed wxWidgets I can run configure without this failure and build all samples.

Did you read the readme.txt file? It works fine for me.

cd bombs
make -f makefile.unx
./bombs

If you can't compile them the way the instructions specify please re-open this bug.
