Description Andreas Prieß 2014-08-18 14:17:27 UTC
Suhosin is now available for PHP versions > 5.3

Reproducible: Always

Reviving suhosin in the tree is not exactly a priority right now. Maybe if upstream prove themselves to be more reliable then they have in the past.

Just in case you decide otherwise, here is my current ebuild for the PHP extension. I am using it in my developer and testing environment for 5.4.

I don't have the PHP suhosin patch set in my personal repository nor do I plan to test 5.5 in the near future.

But adding 5.5 to this ebuild should be as easy as changing USE_PHP to
USE_PHP="php5-4 php5-5"

For what it's worth it seems like there is some continous progress at
https://github.com/stefanesser/suhosin/commits/mastero
and the main contributer reacts to reported issues
https://github.com/stefanesser/suhosin/issues?q=is%3Aissue+is%3Aclosed
if that's what you mean by reliable. :)

It might not hurt to add an arch masked ebuild to the Gentoo tree.

A p.masked version is fine by me.
