Description Chris Carlin 2004-05-25 06:43:10 UTC
aim-transport cannot build without jabber libraries that get installed with jabberd 1.4, but the dependancy in the ebuild includes jabberd2. If jabberd2 is installed aim-transport will simply fail to merge while it should complain and seek to install an appropriate version of jabberd-1.4.

Just fix the dependancy statement...

While you're in there /etc/init.d/aim-transport should really specify the path to jabberd. In addition to it just being the Right Thing (I'd imagine), jabberd2 puts its binary in /usr/bin/jabberd while jabberd1.4 is in /usr/sbin/jabberd. The init script should point to /usr/sbin/jabberd.
