when i read some bugs, the user comment is all on one line, without wrapping, it's really hard to reach such bugs. either WRAP=hard in html form or css on web page that allows wrapping. the root of this evil seems to be <pre> tag in html. sample: http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=49196 browser: Konqueror 3.2.2 although it wraps OK with opera 7.50-r1 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. open http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=49196 with konqueror 2. 3.
don't you think it's a konqueror bug? It looks fine with mozilla* :)
how should i know that? i know that <pre> means preformat text :) so it means show the text as is with linefeeds and so on -- it shouldn't wrap if it's not in raw text. maybe mozilla is buggy? :)
line wrapping is done with css, and every css compliant browser works with this css. I've tried before on konqueror and it work, must not be the particular version your talking about. Moving this bug to upstream bug.
