Description Jan Brezina 2004-05-24 13:14:33 UTC
By debug listing I descover folloving problem:
consolefont is started from /etc/runlevels/boot and font is loaded
then hotplug from /etc/runlevels/default cause screen restart and this destroy
loaded font
I move consolefont script to /etc/runlevels/default and all is OK now
But I don't know what determinate the order of starting services.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. rc-update add consolefont boot
2. rc-update add hotplug default
3.

Actual Results:
After reboot console font selected in rc.conf isn't set.

Expected Results:
Console font should be set.

Comment 1 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2004-05-25 05:42:52 UTC
shouldnt hotplug be a boot service ?
Comment 2 Greg Kroah-Hartman (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-06-04 15:14:20 UTC
Why would it need to be?

I don't like it as a service at all :)
Comment 3 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2004-10-15 22:49:16 UTC
greg knows all about hotplug :)
Comment 4 Greg Kroah-Hartman (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-11-10 11:29:51 UTC
Hotplug isn't a "service" anymore, so closing this as it can't possibly
be a hotplug issue.
