Looking at the ebuild for 21.4.15-r1, it's not looking for a patch by that name anywhere, nor was it in 21.4.15, so I don't really know what's going on and I don't have a ppc box to test this on.

Could we get a ppc guy to test this? It seems like this bug could be closed.

I think this was a temporary thing which pvdabeel has sorted out now.
