Description Christopher Head 2014-08-03 22:21:26 UTC
After installing Amanda, the ebuild outputs this message among others:

 * If you use localhost in your disklist your restores may break.
 * You should replace it with the actual hostname!
 * Please also see the syntax changes to amandahosts.

This is potentially bad advice: anyone using the “local” authentication method *MUST* use localhost as hostname in their disklist, as far as I can tell!

Reproducible: Always

You are correct, although I personally don't really like using that method.
Anyway, yes, this message should be modified to reflect this special auth-method.
Thanks, Stefan
