it's listed in Makefile.am, so simply deleting the newman line should do.

Damn. I really thought I would have addressed that already in the ebuild. Sorry for the inconveniences. Fixed without a revbump so if you want the shipped man-page please re-sync and emerge =tar-1.28 again.

Changing an installed file without revbump.... I didn't even realize that was permitted.

it's minor noise for a minor issue.  i don't see it being not worthy.
