# Tim Harder <radhermit@gentoo.org> (27 Nov 2012) # Masked for testing, all revdeps currently in the tree # don't work with it. =media-libs/libsfml-2* This package.mask entry has been in place for a long time. Can we remove it and either allow the affected versions to go into ~arch, or if they are as broken as the comment says, remove them from the tree? Thanks, William

The comment implies none of the reverse dependencies work with libsfml-2, not that libsfml-2 or packages using the previous versions are broken in any way. Fixing the related packages requires extensive, intrusive patching that I don't have time to do and the various upstreams have been lax on working toward. This has always been a case that has been masked for a while before hitting ~arch and in this case has sat masked longer since there are few packages using libsfml to start with. Anyway while I don't like to, I can add version restrictions to packages so it can be unmasked.
The only deps are: games-emulation/dolphin (already done) games-emulation/vbam dev-python/pysfml So please just adjust them as needed, and remove the pmask.
I'm definitely not asking you to patch anything. For your dependencies, I would probably use an = or ~ dependency to make sure that the correct versions are depended upon.
It's now unmasked in the tree.
