config.log

Package fails to build reporting that it cannot find freetype2.

Upstream change to configure.ac causes failure to build as unable to locate freetype header with the following error in config.log (attached):

conftest.c:11:28: fatal error: ac_nonexistent.h: No such file or directory.

While the cause of the problem is obvious (change of freetype headers location), the build system of xpaint is an exercise in "ways not to to it".

It could use a serious rewrite.

looks like someone stabilized freetype-2.5.3-r1 without checking reverse deps
Comment 4 Julian Ospald 2014-07-19 11:38:19 UTC
so... just use 2.9.10.2
Comment 5 Sam Jorna (wraeth) gentoo-dev 2014-07-19 11:41:09 UTC
Yes, ofc that's an option, and i suggested it to the user that had the issue in #gentoo... i was just reporting a stable ebuild that fails build...
