It is used e.g. by agnubis -- To build DiaCanvas2 you need the following stuff installed: * GTK+ 2.0 (GLib2, Pango). * The latest unstable release of libgnomecanvas (or from CVS). * (optional) Python 2.2, PyGTK 1.99.10 or newer and gnome-python if you want to build the Python wrapper. You can also check out the latest version from CVS. The module name is 'diacanvas2'. Note that you'll need version 1.5 of AutoMake. -- see you, Chris

diacanvas is still not in portage. I created an ebuild based on the gnome2-eclass. Seems to work, but I'm not familiar with the gnome2-eclass, so can please someone of the gnome-people review my ebuild?
Created attachment 18490 [details] diacanvas-0.9.2.ebuild
ebuild looks ok to me for the most part.. some minor stylish fixes could be done and it's probably missing buildtime deps.
added x11-libs/diacanvas-0.10.0.ebuild * fixed deps * fixed python bindings build * fixed configure switches Added to the gnome herd for now. Since no core gnome apps (or any app in portage ?) uses/can use it, maintainership is open for takeover. please test
