This is a follow-up to bug 517046. Can we get the latest version of perf in portage keyworded? Only perf-3.8 was keyworded as a result of my previous report. I am assuming this was done to track the latest version sys-kernel/mips-sources however perf does _not_ have to match the version of the running kernel. At work I have been using perf-3.8 and now perf-3.13.3 on a system running Linux 3.0.x for a year and have had no issues whatsoever related to the version mismatch. We have also used several of perf's less known features without issue so I am fairly confident that the latest release will work just fine with older mips kernels. Reproducible: Always
added ~mips to the latest version as well
