when I emerging cel i have a error:
checking if Python version >= 1.5... configure: error: too old
my version of python:
Python 2.3.4c1 (#1, May 14 2004, 16:33:33)
I asked my friend about this and he testet it and he have this same error

Reproducible: Always

works fine for me with python-2.3.3-r1.  Can you attach config.log as
text/plain please?

I figured out (and fixed) this bug a few weeks ago. See this post for a full explanation. I think it's a problem with the cel developer's configure scripts. Can anyone get it to whomever it's supposed to get to?

This bug gets it to whomever it is supposed to get to... and if it is a proper fix, we'll send the patch to the upstream developers so they can fix it there in the next version.

should be fixed in cel-0.98.2
