Please add USE flag for --enable-libmpv-shared, which is required by the client API.
Is there really a reason to have this optional? If building it doesn't hurt mpv, I'd say build it unconditionally.
/usr/bin/mpv is still using internal copy of libmpv, even with --enable-libmpv-shared. Upstream plans to migrate cli to shared libmpv, but until it is done i think libmpv.so should be optional because nothing in tree is using it yet.
Gramiel, do you plan to develop some gui using libmpv? Or how do you plan to use it?
Added in 0.4.0 and 9999.
This flag was added to metadata.xml but I don't see it added to any of the ebuilds.
(In reply to Nikoli from comment #3) > Gramiel, do you plan to develop some gui using libmpv? Yes. I plan to use it to develop a gui for mpv.

> Yes. I plan to use it to develop a gui for mpv. Nice, please let me know when some sources will be published :)
