1.5.9.3 introduces the much-needed OpenMP support. Reproducible: Always
FYI: the media-plugins/gimp-gmic-1.5.9.2-r1 ebuild renamed to 1.5.9.3 with the 1.5.9.2 patch fails to build because the patch fails to apply. Without the patch it fails to compile too, it dies with an "internal compiler error: Segmentation fault". http://bpaste.net/show/425814/ I haven't tried media-gfx/gmic
Bump
Bump, anyone? Pretty please? :)
G'MIC-1.5.9.3 requires GCC-4.8.2 or higher. I renamed the 1.5.9.2 ebuild to 1.5.9.3, and as the patch failed to apply I removed it from the ebuild. I tried compiling on gcc-4.8.3 and it worked! David plans on releasing G'MIC-1.6 this week.
Created attachment 383844 [details, diff] gmic-1.6.0.0-makefile.patch 1.6.0.0 was released Aug 21. Bulk of the 1.5.9.2 Makefile patch is _LDFLAGS => _LIBS changes that have beed applied upstream. I'm attaching my interpretation of the remaining changes as applied to the 1.6.0.0 version.
1.6.0.1 was released on 03.10.2014.
Created attachment 389656 [details, diff] gmic-1.6.0.1-makefile.patch Renaming the ebuilds and adding this patch in files/ works for both media-gfx/gmic and media-plugins/gimp-gmic .

Both gmic and gimp-gmic 1.6.0.2 compile and run fine on amd64.
When will it hit the tree? Or can someone post an ebuild here? Thanks in advance. Gerard.
1.6.0.2 added to the tree.
Thanks, Gerard.
Thank you.
