When KDE is running, closing the laptop lid doesn't suspend the system.
That happens since my last 'emerge -uDN world'
Command 'pm-suspend' ran as root actually suspends the system.

Not a major bug but causes battery life reduction...

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a session in KDE using a laptop
2. Close the lid
Actual Results:  
Session locks

Expected Results:  
System suspends

Using KDE 4.12 and upower 0.99.0-r1

Related to upower news provided by portage.
Need to install upower-pm-utils.
