Originally misfiled.  This replaces bug 514700.

I'm afraid this bug is misdirected, I'll assign it nevertheless to give the maintainer the final choice.

As far as I'm aware, we only package the perl modules for Gentoo. If you want enhancements in the module code, please file a proper bug upstream [1]. If your changes get applied to upstream used VCS, please let us know and we may consider patching the current version or rolling a snapshot for you then.

Why should we fix it? Ask upstream.
