the 1.7rc1-r1 ebuild worked fine for rc2. all i had to to do is to remove the amd64 patch, which did not apply. as i am now running 1.7rc2 on amd64 without problems i guess its not neccessary any more (-;

3 weeks passed since RC2, now RC3 is out.

rc2 is in portage now, rc3 is coming along
