The other day I was wondering what were the latest games added to portage. Currently there's no way to find such info on packages.gentoo.org. You can however browse the packages by category. It would be nice to only show updates from the category you're browsing in the left list. For example: Go to http://packages.gentoo.org click on "Find ebuilds by category", then click on a category (games-rpg for example) and you end up here: http://packages.gentoo.org/packages/?category=games-rpg It would be nice, in this situation, to show only updates for ebuilds in games-rpg in the left list (the one with Monday, Tuesday... etc) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
on the improvements list, it would be nice for dial-up users if the search box came up near the beginning instead of after all the newly-updated packages have been listed.
I think what packages.g.o needs is an "Advanced search" ... that can spit out RSS. Stay tuned...
some news on this?
The new packages.g.o does allow the left sidebar to contain only the items in the category. Search however is coming later. Please review the FAQ.

flash3001: you failed to read the FAQ then. http://packages.gentoo.org/category/games-rpg?local_latest
