Description Gen2 2014-06-19 09:40:21 UTC
Since quite some time (i ignored it because i didn't have time for further investigations but now it popped up again...) katepart fails to compile with the following error message (i attached the full build.log):

CMake Error at /usr/share/apps/cmake/modules/KDELibs4ToolsTargets.cmake:64 (message):
The imported target "KDE4__kauth-policy-gen" references the file

     "/usr/lib64/kde4/libexec/kauth-policy-gen"

but this file does not exist. Possible reasons include:

  * The file was deleted, renamed, or moved to another location.

  * An install or uninstall procedure did not complete successfully.

  * The installation package was faulty and contained

     "/usr/share/apps/cmake/modules/KDELibs4ToolsTargets.cmake"

but not all the files it references.

Call Stack (most recent call first):
  /usr/share/apps/cmake/modules/FindKDE4Internal.cmake:595 (include)
  /usr/share/cmake/Modules/FindKDE4.cmake:95 (find_package)
  CMakeLists.txt:8 (find_package)

BUT this file definitely exists on my machine:

ls -lah /usr/lib64/kde4/libexec/kauth-policy-gen
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 27K 19. Jun 11:08 /usr/lib64/kde4/libexec/kauth-policy-gen

It belongs to kdelibs so there was no manual copying from my side:

equery belongs /usr/lib64/kde4/libexec/kauth-policy-gen
kde-base/kdelibs-4.13.2 (/usr/lib64/kde4/libexec/kauth-policy-gen)

Does anything interesting happen when you run /usr/lib64/kde4/libexec/kauth-policy-gen directly?
Comment 3 Gen2 2014-06-22 09:54:43 UTC
I found the reason why it wasn't working! For some reason /usr/lib64/kde4/libexec had file permissions 0700 and thus was not accessible. After changing the permissions to 755 i was able to build katepart successfully!
