Todays release of sys-devel/gcc-4.7.4 Version bump, please.
Please post emerge --info.
(In reply to Ryan Hill from comment #1) eh ?
SpanKY, I hope this accidentaly was just a normal stress symptom. Otherwise seems like a person not having a clue of gentoo acting instead of Ryan Hill: Password hacked? Some weeks ago we all were urged to change password. I hope the real Ryan Hill didn't miss that opportunity. The last gcc Changelog was: 20 May 2014; Ryan Hill Also his bug entry of 2014-06-03 https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=511606#c2 is suspicious in that regard (gcc-4.8.3 said ready)
There is nothing suspicious about that. 4.8.3 enables the SSP -fstack-protector flag by default, and so proper notification must be given to avoid people breaking their systems, as well as follow-up testing. gcc-4.7.4 will get added to the tree in due time. Please be patient, thanks!
I figured if you were wasting my time by filing zero-day version bump bugs, I'd waste some of yours as well.
@Ryan Hill, I had some doubts about your identity answering like a bot, but this explaination asures me I can trust the portag tree as ever. And sorry for this bug, some maintainers like me to remind them with version bump bugs.
Ignore me, I've had a migraine for the last 5 days. Fixed.
