In courier-imap 3.0.2, there is a very (IMO) severe bug in trash deletion. The bug is supposedly fixed in 3.0.3. courier-imap should be updated to 3.0.3 with all possible haste. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. turn on IMAP_MOVE_EXPUNGE_TO_TRASH 2. try to delete something 3. gasp as it can't be done 4. cry as your trash folder soon fills your quota Actual Results: I cried as my trash folders grew so large that all the magnetic media on this small planet could not contain them. Expected Results: Selected item should be deleted.
working on it
to be clear, this ONLY affects users who have enabled 'IMAP_MOVE_EXPUNGE_TO_TRASH' in /etc/courier-imap/imapd. I've got the new version in portage now, just waiting for all arches to test to move it to stable.
Robin, with 3.0.4, I'm seeing this now: root sephora # /etc/init.d/courier-imapd-ssl start * Starting authdaemond.plain... Error: authdaemond no longer handles its own daemonizing. Use new startup script. [ !! ] * Starting courier-imapd over SSL... [ ok ] Please help :)
Anything on the init script? I've got bitten by the bug too... :P
/me dumb Didn't wait for all the updates to finish and didn't see the was an update pending for the authdaemon init script. Sorry for the noise.
ah, now that bugzilla is working again, yes I've fixed the authdaemond issue yesterday.
